Arlington police investigating motel murder

Police say they found the body of a man with multiple gunshot wounds in a motel parking lot.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police are investigating the shooting death of a man found dead early Saturday morning in a motel p arking lot. 

Officers were called at about 5:38 a.m. Saturday to a motel in the 1200 block of North Watson Road after an employee reported a man laying unresponsive in the parking lot. 

When officers arrived on scene, police say the found the man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police say they believe the 43-year-old victim may have been there to engage in illegal sexual activity and are investigating how it may have played a role in the shooting. 

The victim will be identified once next of kin have been notified. 

There are no suspects at this time and no arrests have been made, police say.
