AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Thursday, Austin-Travis County EMS will hold a ceremony for Cadet Class 0124 to be sworn in at the Texas Capitol inside the Extension Auditorium.
Cadet Class 0124 is made up of 13 cadets, six of which are “direct hire” clinical specialists and seven are medics.
ATCEMS Assistant Chief Heather Phillips said academy graduation was a huge milestone marking the completion of the first major step in their careers.
“We’re so excited to have the ability for our Cadet’s families and friends to participate in this important occasion It truly is a special day for everyone,” said Phillips.
The ceremony will be followed by a reception.
