FORECAST
WEEKEND COLD FRONT
A few more comfortable days in the 60s, then a chill settles across San Antonio. A strong cold front will arrive over the weekend, and you’ll feel it with a light morning freeze, then afternoon temperatures only in the mid 40s with a gusty north wind. Also, plan for Mountain Cedar to spike over the weekend as a result of the north wind.
MONDAY’S MLK MARCH
Clear skies Monday morning means we’ll see a significant freeze for San Antonio. Lows will dip into the mid-20s. Once the march gets underway, temperatures will “warm” to the low-30s. Wind chills are forecast to be in the 20s. The sun is forecast to be out for the first half of the day, however, clouds are expected to roll in by the afternoon.
WINTRY MIX UPDATE
Moisture is going to be hard to come by, meaning chances remain low. But, a passing disturbance combined with an area of low pressure along the coast could throw a bit of precipitation in our direction Monday night and Tuesday. There’s a chance of a wintry mix at that point, but it’s still early and more data is needed for any confidence in a mix occurring, so don’t alter any plans yet.
