Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy reviews Dallas pizza place before Mavericks-Celtics game

“One Bite Pizza Reviews” is an internet show by Portnoy, in which he reviews pizza from restaurants around the world, ranking it on a scale of 0–10.

DALLAS — Before the Mavs and Celtics tipped off Game 4, one of the noted celebrities in attendance for the game reviewed a downtown Dallas pizza place.

Dave Portnoy, a noted Celtics fan and creator of Barstool Sports, does an Internet show he calls “One Bite Pizza Reviews,” in which he reviews pizza from restaurants around the world, ranking it on a scale of 0 through 10. While in Dallas to attend Game 4, he stopped by Pizza Leila off of Flora Street.

He posted his Pizza Leila “One Bite Pizza Review” on his social media pages Friday night.

“I don’t know that Dallas is known for pizza …. probably not … I don’t care. When in town, do the pizza thing,” Portnoy said.

Portnoy said he chose Pizza Leila because it was close to his hotel and it had a good score on the One Bite pizza app.

He gave Pizza Leila a 7.2 out of 10. Only 20 pizzas have ever been ranked 9.0 or higher by Portnoy.

Portnoy said Dallas fans were really nice to him during his stay, including the woman who walked by in his video. According to the One Bite rankings, Pizza Leila would be placed in the top 500 spots he’s tried out of more than 1,000.

Pizza Leila is a “unique Sicilian pizza concept” located in downtown Dallas, with a second location coming soon to NorthPark Center, according to their website.
