San Antonio Police Department Chief William McManus said Wednesday that officers responded to a suicide in progress call just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sonterra Heights Apartments in the 18000 block of Stone Oak Parkway.

McManus initially said Poulos had shot four officers.

In a post to SAPD’s Facebook page around 2 a.m. Thursday, McManus said the number of injured officers rose to seven, and Poulos was found dead in the apartment.

All seven officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The officers have since been identified.
