One person died after they were hit and killed by a car in the north service road of U.S. Highway 80 at Beltline Road, officials said.
MESQUITE, Texas — A bicyclist died after being hit by a car on the north service road of U.S. Highway 80, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a crash Saturday morning in the north service road of U.S. 80, Mesquite police said in a press release.
Responding police found a person in the roadway lying next to a bicycle, officials said. They were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police are investigating the incident, causing delays on U.S. 80, according to TxDOT.
