Biden Apologises For ‘Tragic’ Executive Order 9066 As Texas Border Criticism Grows

 

President Joe Biden on Monday issued a statement in remembrance of the Japanese Americans forced from their homes as part of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Executive Order 9066 in 1942. During World War II, the then US President relocated and incarcerated more than 120,000 people of Japanese descent in 75 identified sites. This followed Imperial Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.
