Bonita football’s Noah Mikhail, one of the top recruits in the Southland, made a verbal commitment to Texas A&M during a ceremony on Sunday at his family’s house, choosing the Aggies over USC and Oregon, who he had narrowed it down to over the last several weeks.

Mikhail announced his decision on a live stream with 247 sports, and explained who the Aggies are getting.

“They’re getting the hardest worker, nobody’s going to outwork me,” Mikhail said. “I’m going to strive to be the best every day. I’m coming in to make an impact early. I’m coming for it all.”

Mikhail, a four-star linebacker and the nation’s 83rd ranked overall prospect according to 247 sports and the fifth-highest ranked player in California, has been a highly sought after recruit and the San Gabriel Valley’s top prospect since his freshman season at Bonita.

“It’s been a blessing this whole process,” Mikhail told 247 Sports. “Opportunity, development and fit were all big things for me. Looking at that and breaking it all down were big decisions for me.”

Mikhail was the San Gabriel Valley’s defensive player of the year as a sophomore and has been a San Gabriel Valley all-area selection over his first three seasons.
