The Wisconsin Badgers have landed arguably the biggest target on their board, securing a commitment from four-star linebacker Mason Posa, he announced on Thursday.

Posa, the top-ranked player in the state of New Mexico, chose Wisconsin over the Oregon Ducks and Texas A&M Aggies.

The 6’3, 210-pound linebacker joins Cooper Catalano as the inside linebackers for the Badgers in the Class of 2025, marking one of the best position groups for Wisconsin in this cycle.

Posa had taken an official visit to Wisconsin two weekends ago, where the Badgers seemingly took the lead in his recruitment, despite persistence from competitors.

A number of staffers were involved in this recruitment, and the draw to Wisconsin ultimately sealed the deal for a major target in the class.

Posa becomes commit No. 18 for the Badgers and the seventh to join the program since the month of June began.

Wisconsin has a number of potential decisions coming up as well, as four-star wideout Eugene Hilton is set to announce his commitment on Friday, while three-star defensive lineman Wilnerson Telemaque is set to do the same next week.
