Former president and current nominee for the 2024 presidential election Donald Trump has been indicted by a grand jury in Miami. Trump announced the indictment himself on his Truth Social account.
In a three-part post, Trump announced he had been notified of the indictment and will appear in federal court on Tuesday, June 13.
“This is indeed a DARK DAY for the United States of America,” Trump wrote in the final post. “We are a Country in serious and rapid Decline, but together we will Make America Great Again!”

According to reports, Trump could be facing multiple charges.
He has been issued a summons to appear in federal court in Miami on Tuesday at 3 p.m. ET, sources said.
“We’re learning from our sources that there appears to be at least seven counts here. This ranges from everything from the willful retention of national defense information to conspiracy to a scheme to conceal to false statements and representations,” ABC News’ Katherine Faulders reported on during a special report on the network.
In a statement on social media, Trump wrote that he had been told of the indictment and insisted the case was a “hoax.” He has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.
The probe stems from classified documents that were kept at his residence at Mar-a-Lago. Those documents were at the center of a raid that took place on the property in August of last year. In the wake of the FBI’s raid and subsequent questions, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland handed the investigation off to Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Smith convened a grand jury in Washington D.C., but it was recently revealed that one was also convened in Miami, indicating an indictment was close and that charges would be filed in Florida.
This is a developing story. We will have more as new details emerge.
