BREAKING: Queen Elizabeth Is ‘Under Medical Supervision,’ Buckingham Palace Releases Statement

Queen Elizabeth II is “under medical supervision” at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, and the Royal Family is by her side.

“Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement on Thursday.

“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral,” the statement said.

The 96-year-old monarch reportedly has all four of her children visiting as well as Prince William, according to ITV . Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton did not go to Scotland as of now, as her children are attending their first day at a new school, according to the outlet.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also headed to Scotland.

“The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime,” Prime Minister Liz Truss tweeted Thursday. “My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”

Former BBC Royal Correspondent Richard Sumner warned that the situation could be more severe than the statement indicates.

“The whole policy of the palace has always been understatement and I’ve always suspected that possibly there was more than a mobility problem concerned here,” Sumner said, according to BBC News.
