SEADRIFT, Texas – As of this morning, Seadrift Mayor Jesse Hubbell and Councilman Geoffrey Hunt have resigned.
They have declined to give us a comment at this time.
The city council position has been taken over by Johnny Mikolas after a 3-1 vote.
The city plans to petition the governor for a special election for the mayor’s seat, as the current term is set until 2026.
