Killeen police are actively searching for man who allegedly is responsible for a shooting and is considered armed and dangerous, police say.
KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen police are actively searching for a suspect allegedly responsible for a shooting that killed one person and injured another on Thursday afternoon.
The dead victim is a woman and the injured victim is a man who was shot in both legs, according to police. He was taken to Baylor Scott and White in Temple and is conscious and breathing, police say.
The shooting occurred at the Best Western Plus in the 2700 block of Cunningham Road, according to police.
Police say the suspect has not been found and is considered armed and dangerous. He left the scene south of the hotel and police are asking people in that neighborhood to stay inside their homes.

Police are additionally urging the public to avoid the area. Anyone with information or video footage of the shooting is encouraged to contact the Killeen Police Department at 254-501-8830.
