Washington, DC – January 24, 2025: Two major events are taking place that matter to Texans: (1) the March for Life in Washington, D.C. today/Friday January 24th, and (2) the Texas Rally for Life at the Texas Capitol in Austin, Texas on Saturday, January 25th. Today is the National March for Life in D.C.. Since the Texas Heartbeat Law took effect and Roe v. Wade court case was overturned, an estimated over 175,000 babies have been saved from abortion in Texas. With the new presidency of Donald J. Trump, we expect to see more wins for life throughout the nation. Since January 1974, The March for Life in Washington, D.C. has made an impact across the nation with over 100,000 people marching, including many students.
Newly sworn-in Vice President JD Vance just joined the lineup to speak at the March for Life rally alongside Bethany Hamilton, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Governor Ron DeSantis, Lila Rose, and other pro-life advocates. President Donald J. Trump will join the rally by video to announce the pardons of 23 pro-life Americans who were prosecuted by the Biden administration for exercising their First Amendment rights. “With President Trump in office, Texas now has a pro-life friend in the White House again. We anticipate President Trump will stand for life throughout his presidency, starting with his executive order acknowledging that human life begins at conception and by pardoning 23 peaceful pro-life protestors. In Texas, we love them both; the mother and the baby, and we have more important work to do on this issue during our current Texas Legislative Session.”
The Texas Rally for Life will take place tomorrow from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M. in front of the state Capitol. U. S. Senator John Cornyn (Texas), abortion survivor Claire Culwell, Trisomy mom Deirdre Cooper, and several other pro-life advocates will speak at the rally. Texas Values will have an exhibit booth at the Texas Rally for Life Expo and is hosting a reception with refreshments in our north office across the street from the Capitol at 1005 Congress Ave. for rally participants from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M.
