Bullets tear into cars, apartments, hitting man in ankle

SAN ANTONIO – A man is being treated for a gunshot wound in his ankle after a what may have been a drive-by shooting at an apartment complex early Tuesday.

San Antonio police responded to a call about the shooting around 12:30 a.m.

They say they found that cars and apartments at the complex, located in the 2100 block of Dollarhide, had been hit by gunfire.

Officers also found a man in his 60s who had been shot in his ankle after a bullet tore into his apartment.

The man was stable as he was taken to a hospital by ambulance, police said.

The shooter got away.

Police say no one at the apartment complex was able to offer a description of the shooter.

It’s also unclear who the intended target of the shooting was.
