AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Bullock Museum announced all three floors of its Texas History galleries were now fully in both English and Spanish.
“This significant update to the galleries underscores the Museum’s continued mission to create experiences that educate, engage, and encourage a deeper understanding of Texas for the community,” the museum said.
According to the museum, it opened its first fully bilingual gallery in late 2018 with the renovated first-floor gallery, Becoming Texas.
“These updates give the Bullock Museum community more equitable access to the more than 16,000 years of Texas history presented within the Museum galleries,” the museum said.
With its commitment to bilingual interpretation, the museum said all special exhibitions developed by the Bullock Museum would also be presented in both English and Spanish.
The current special exhibition, Sharks, which was originally presented only in English was adapted into a bilingual English and Spanish exhibition.
The Bullock Museum is open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
