Cedar Hill police investigating Monday evening shooting, stabbing

 

Two people were hospitalized in the incident, police say, and one suspect has turned themselves into police.

CEDAR HILL, Texas — One person is in custody following a shooting and stabbing Monday evening that left two people hospit alized, police say.

Officials say police were called to a residence in the 700 block of Briggs Street in regards to a shooting and stabbing.

Two people were taken to local hospitals in connection with the incident, police say, but their condition is unknown at this time. 

The suspect, who officials say was known to the victims, turned himself in shortly after the first call.

The investigation is ongoing. Police are still in the area but say there is no threat to the public.
