Central Texas Republican women celebrate Trump’s second inauguration

AUSTIN, Texas — To mark Inauguration Day, a group of Central Texas Republican women hosted a gathering meant to give back to the community and encourage women to get more involved in politics.

What You Need To Know

A group of Central Texas Republican women gathered Monday to watch President Donald Trump’s inauguration

Some of the women were moved to tears

Among other goals, the conservatives are focused on giving back to the community and encouraging women to get involved in politics

The women said they are confident that Trump will put the country back on the right track

The inauguration of President Donald Trump brought many of them to tears.

“Inspiring. I mean, I was crying,” said Joyce Damon.

The women say there is a lot to look forward to, including Trump’s promises to close the Texas-Mexico border and energy independence.

“There’s so many things that could be bringing, you know, money into this country, and we’re sitting on a goldmine of fuel,” said Damon.

Trump’s second term is also cause for celebration for Linda Wright. With her hand high in the air, she proudly watched Trump take the oath of office.

“It’s about ‘We the People.’ That’s what MAGA’s about,” said Wright, who also is the founder of Monthly MAGA Meetups.

Wright moved from California to Texas with the goal of being completely immersed in the Make America Great Again movement, which is why she watched the inauguration in Temple with the Central Texas Republican women’s group.

“What I’m really excited about are the executive orders he’s going to sign this afternoon, and I want the J-6ers freed right away,” said Wright.

Zadnichak helped organize the event at Cantina 1948 as part of their monthly effort to support small businesses and mobilize conservative women.

“Because we are American citizens, and we earn money, and we spend money. We have families to support. We want that dollar to go as far as it can,” Zadnichak said.

And every cheer from these women represented the bold hope they have for the MAGA movement over the next four years.

“The last few years, you know, you couldn’t be a patriot or else you were bad. You know, we took it. But now it’s back, and it’s popular, and we all love it,” said Damon.

Their consensus is that American is once again the land of the free.
