Child grazed by bullet after Dallas back-to-school event, police say

A child was injured in a shooting Sunday night outside Club Vivo, Dallas police said in a release.

DALLAS — A child was grazed by a bullet after a back-to-school party at a club in downtown Dallas.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at James W. Aston Park near the intersection of North Harwood Street and Pacific Avenue, police said in a statement.

The shooting occurred after a ‘back-to-school event’ ended at nearby Club Vivo, police on the scene said. A group gathered in the park where the juvenile was hit, police said.

Officers on the scene did not think the child was the intended target of the shooting and it’s not clear if police have any suspects.
