SAN ANTONIO – Fans of corn chip pie may have a new favorite Whataburger order.
Whataburger has announced its newest menu item, the chili cheeseburger, will be available for a limited time.
The burger includes chili and corn chips on top of two beef patties, according to a news release.
Whataburger said the chili cheese burger is also available in the junior size.
“Whataburger aims to consistently raise the bar by offering bold new burgers,” Rich Scheffler, Whataburger’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, said in the release. “The Whataburger Chili Cheese Burger delivers a lot of flavor and texture, with our original-recipe chili – made from the same never-frozen beef as our 100% beef patties – combining with crunchy corn chips, tangy mustard and crisp onions to deliver an experience that’s all-new and yet somehow satisfyingly familiar.”
The chili cheeseburger was announced a week after Whataburger introduced breakfast bowls and white chocolate raspberry shakes for a limited time.
The bowl includes a biscuit, scrambled eggs, two hashbrowns, gravy and shredded cheese with the choice of sausage or bacon. The shake includes a combination of white chocolate and tart raspberry flavors.
All of the items will be available for a limited time, and prices and availability will vary by market.
