FORECAST

Good morning and happy Sunday!

TODAY

It’s a chilly start, but not nearly as cold as what we woke up to Saturday morning. Still, you’ll want to layer up for any early morning plans before mostly sunny skies send high temperatures into the low-60s this afternoon.

Mostly sunny skies expected Sunday with highs in the low-60s.

THIS WEEK

Breezy winds return Monday with morning temperatures in the 30s transitioning to afternoon 50s under partly cloudy skies.

While winds calm into Tuesday, similar temperatures are expected through the middle of the week before a gradual warming trend takes shape by Thursday and Friday.

NEXT COLD FRONT

While a relatively quiet weather pattern will be the theme this week, eyes are on our next cold front that looks to arrive sometime next weekend – around January 18th or 19th.

This front looks to send in another round of Arctic air for the following week across much of the nation, where a few more mornings of freezing temperatures can’t be ruled out locally. This could also make for another colder-than-average Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so we’ll be watching things closely.

Be sure to check back for updates in the days ahead as we fine-tune the details!

Below average temperatures expected for much of the Lower 48 next week.

In the meantime, have a great day and rest of your weekend!
