Chuck E. Cheese offering subscription passes for families looking to save some cheddar

 

The passes allow customers to play a set number of games each day with a discount on food, depending on their subscription tier.

IRVING, Texas — Irving-based entertainment Chuck E. Cheese has a new subscription program for families looking to save some cheddar.

The chain, known for its namesake animatronic rat now voiced by Jaret Reddick of the North Texas-based band Bowling For Soup, announced the program Monday, which allows customers to play a set number of games each day with a discount on food, depending on their subscription tier, starting at $7.99 per month.

“We wanted to create a program that makes Chuck E. Cheese more affordable for families,” said Mark Kupferman, executive vice president of Chuck E. Cheese. “Amid rising costs, our goal was to offer great value, and develop an easy, and fun solution for everyone. After nearly a year of successful testing in several markets, and great demand, we’ve seen firsthand how much families love it. We’re thrilled to launch this program nationwide.”

The new program comes in three tiers. The cheapest, available for $7.99 per month, allows families to play 40 games per visit with a 20% discount on most food, drinks and extra games. The next tier is available for $11.99 per month, allows for 100 games per visit and a 30% discount on most food, drinks and extra Play Points. The highest tier, available for $29.99 per month, allows for 250 games per visit and a 50% discount on most food, drinks and extra Play Points.

They’re also offering two-month passes at a higher monthly price for families looking to visit during breaks for school, like over the holidays or during summer.

The passes can only be canceled after the first year is complete, according to Chuck-E Cheese, and can be used at any of the chain’s 470 locations across the country.
