A water line break prompted the city of Lewisville to issue a boil water notice, impacting residents living in the middle of the city, between Interstate 35E and State Highway 121, according to a press release from the city of Lewisville.
All customers in the affected area should boil their water before use including drinking, cooking and brushing their teeth, the release states. To kill harmful bacteria, the water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes, the release states.
When the boil water notice is lifted, the city of Lewisville will contact affected customers, the release states.
