CLOSURES: Some school districts, including San Antonio ISD, remain closed on Wednesday

  

SAN ANTONIO – School districts in Bexar County and surrounding areas have canceled classes on Tuesday but others are making additional changes for Wednesday due to wintry weather.

Below is a list of school districts that are canceling, delaying or returning to class on Wednesday.

Public school districts

  • Alamo Heights ISD: All campuses and offices will reopen and operate on normal schedules for Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Bandera ISD: Schools and offices will resume as normal on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Blanco ISD: All classes will be on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, Jan. 22, district officials said.
  • Boerne ISD: The district said all schools and offices will open on time for Wednesday, Jan. 22. The BISD regular January board meeting for Tuesday will be postponed until Monday, Jan. 27.
  • Carrizo Springs CISD: All campuses and offices will return to normal operations on Wednesday, Jan. 22. Due to Tuesday’s winter weather, a weather make-up day is scheduled for April 21.
  • Comal ISD: Wednesday, Jan. 22 will be a normal school day, the district said.
  • Comfort ISD: Comfort ISD said classes will resume at their regular time on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Cotulla ISD: Campuses will have a two-hour delayed start on Wednesday, Jan. 22. All campus report times for Wednesday can be found here.
  • Crystal City ISD: Classes will resume Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 9 a.m. Buses will operate on a one-hour delayed schedule. The staff development day scheduled for Feb. 20 will now be a full instructional day for both staff and students.
  • Devine ISD: All classes and related activities will resume regular operations and normal start times on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Divide ISD: The district said classes will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • D’Hanis ISD: Classes will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Dilley ISD: Officials said classes will start at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Eagle Pass ISD: All classes will resume their regular schedules on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • East Central ISD: Classes will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Edgewood ISD: The district said it will be open and operate on a normal schedule on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Falls City ISD: Schools will start at their normal time on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the district said.
  • Floresville ISD: All campuses, classes and offices will operate as normal on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Fort Sam Houston ISD: Schools will be in normal session on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Goliad ISD: All classes have been canceled on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Gonzales ISD: Classes across the district are delayed two hours on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the district said on Facebook.
  • Harlandale ISD: The district said it will resume normal operations on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Harper ISD: Classes will resume at normal time on Wednesday. Jan. 22.
  • Hondo ISD: Classes will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Ingram ISD: Classes will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the district said.
  • Jourdanton ISD: All classes have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21. A bad weather make-up day is tentatively scheduled for April 21.
  • Jubilee Academies Charter School: Classes are canceled for Tuesday.
  • Judson ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. All after-school events and activities will be canceled or rescheduled.
  • Kenedy ISD: All schools are closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, due to severe weather conditions.
  • Kerrville ISD: All schools and activities will be canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • La Vernia ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Extracurricular activities have also been canceled. The district said it will resume classes on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Leakey ISD: The school district said its schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Medina Valley ISD: Campuses and district offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Natalia ISD: All classes, extracurricular activities and events will be canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • New Braunfels ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Extracurricular events have also been canceled.
  • North East ISD: All NEISD schools and facilities will be open as normal on Wednesday.
  • Nixon-Smiley CISD: The district will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, including the DAEP and PACE campuses. All school-related activities have also been canceled.
  • Northside ISD: All classes will resume regular classes on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Pearsall ISD: All classes have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21. School is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m.
  • Pleasanton ISD: All Pleasanton ISD schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. All before and after-school activities have also been canceled. Due to the closure, the Feb. 17 holiday will now be a regular school day.
  • Poth ISD: All classes have been canceled on Jan. 21.
  • Randolph Field ISD: Classes and extracurricular activities have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Sabinal ISD: Classes have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21. There will be a delayed start on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. There is an early release on Thursday, Jan. 23 and a student holiday on Friday, Jan. 24.
  • San Antonio ISD: The district said its schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 22. All Central Office, district and essential staff will report to work on Wednesday at their normal scheduled times.
  • San Marcos CISD: All campuses and offices will be closed on Jan. 21. The closure affects all after-school/UIL events.
  • Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. All games and activities will also be canceled or rescheduled.
  • Seguin ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Tuesday’s board meeting will be postponed to Thursday, Jan. 23. The district said it will have normal operations on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Somerset ISD: All schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • South San Antonio ISD: All campuses will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Southside ISD: All classes have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The district will resume classes and operations on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Southwest ISD: All campuses will be closed and related activities canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Stockdale ISD: All classes and activities have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Uvalde CISD: All school activities will end by 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 20. The district said it will cancel all school operations on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Yorktown ISD: The district said Monday its decision to close all schools on Jan. 21 was made to allow families and staff to make necessary arrangements, a district Facebook post said.

Charter schools

  • Essence Preparatory Public School: The Essence Preparatory campus and office will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • George Gervin Academy: All schools and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Great Hearts San Antonio: Campuses will be closed and all activities are canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • IDEA Schools: All IDEA San Antonio schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Lighthouse Public Schools: Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Classes will resume on Wednesday.
  • New Frontiers Public Schools: All campuses will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Parent/Child Incorporated Head Start/Early Head Start Early Learning Center: All centers and administrative offices will be open at their regularly scheduled time on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • Positive Solutions Charter School: The school will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21 due to expected winter weather.
  • Pre-K 4 SA and Gardendale Early Learning Program: All Pre-K 4 SA Centers and the Gardendale Early Learning Program will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • SST Public Charter Schools in San Antonio and Schertz will resume their normal schedules on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Private Schools

  • Concordia Lutheran School and Child Care Center: The school and child care center will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21. All extracurricular activities have also been canceled.
  • Cornerstone Christian Schools: All classes and activities have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Incarnate Word High School: The campus will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, but classes will transition to asynchronous instruction.
  • Keystone School: Keystone School will close on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The school said it will have regular school hours on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • San Antonio Academy: All classes, after-school activities and games have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The school will reopen regularly on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
  • San Marcos Academy: All classes have been canceled on Jan. 21.
  • Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School & Child Care: The school will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Sunshine Cottage: Classes have been canceled on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Winston School San Antonio: The Winston School will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
