Of all the things that Kamala Harris is unfit to do, of all the duties she should never be entrusted with, commander-in-chief of the American armed forces and the national intelligence apparatus has to be at the top of the list. That is not, however, preventing over 700 “national security officials” from endorsing her in her POTUS run. That’s an endorsement that is almost as chilling as her endorsement by the tax collectors union.

This endorsement from “national security officials” reads like it was written on Opposite Day:
More than 700 high-ranking national security officials have endorsed Democratic candidate Vice President Harris in her run for the White House, with some leaders expressing concerns about former President Trump’s “scary authoritarian streak.”
“Vice President Harris has all the leadership qualities needed to be a strong commander in chief. She’s prepared. She’s strategic. She’s understands all sides of an issue,” retired U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Michael Smith told The Hill. “We saw as much dur ing the debate.”
“As we’ve seen for nearly a decade, however, former President Trump has none of those qualities, and he has a scary authoritarian streak,” Smith, who is also the president of National Security Leaders for America, added.
These 700 “officials” delivered their endorsement in a letter. Because of course they did. It continued:
The letter endorsing Harris consists of 741 former high-ranking national security officials, including 233 general and flag officers. Among those 741 officials are 15 four-star generals, 10 former Cabinet secretaries and 10 service secretaries as well as leaders who served in Republican administrations.
“We do not agree on everything, but we all adhere to two fundamental principles,” the letter reads. “First, we believe America’s national security requires a serious and capable Commander-in-Chief. Second, we believe American democracy is invaluable.”

Let’s take a closer look at that statement.
Vice President Harris, if we’re being perfectly honest, has no leadership qualities whatsoever. She is not prepared. In the few softball interviews she has done, she has yet to give one direct answer, even to the list of carefully prepared softball questions she has had gently lobbed at her. Even in her one debate with former President Trump, her “rebuttals” were weak – not one direct answer, not one unambiguous policy position. She is not strategic; she’s not even within shouting distance of strategic, if by that we can presume they mean that she is informed on all the complexities of today’s geopolitical issues. It’s highly doubtful she understands even one side of any issue of import, much less all sides.
I’m not sure what debate Admiral Smith was watching, but it sure as shootin’ wasn’t the same one I watched, where Kamala Harris fielded even the CNN “moderators” softballs with non-answers.

Bureaucrats, it should be noted, always favor more and bigger government, and honestly, that’s all Kamala Harris has to offer these people. And that is, for a bureaucrat, enough; and the fact that none of the people involved in the drafting of this letter a) think Kamala Harris is “serious and capable” when she is so sadly and obviously neither, and b) they don’t understand that the United States is not a democracy – well, that tells us all we need to know about these people.
