The live entertainment company is planning an estimated $1.3 billion in projects across Texas and Oklahoma.
MCKINNEY, Texas — Venu Holdings, the hospitality and live entertainment company planning to build a 20,000-seat amphitheater in McKinney, recently celebrated its official listing on the NYSE American by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
The Colorado-based company closed on a 46-acre property needed for the open-air entertainment venue in Collin County earlier this month. Venu Holding Corporation is partnering with former Dallas Cowboys star and NFL Hall of Famer Troy Aikman and his beer company EIGHT on the project.
The venue will be built on 46 acres adjacent to the Sheraton McKinney Hotel northeast of Route 75 and State Highway 121. It will have an enclosed stage, more than 5,100 parking spaces, luxe fire pit suites, reserved seating, club suites and more.
The McKinney project isn’t the company’s only big development in the works, though. Venu has an estimated $1.3 billion in construction and development projects in the works across Texas and Oklahoma. Aside from the venue in McKinney, the company is working on others in Broken Arrow, Okla., Oklahoma City and El Paso with pre-construction underway in five more markets.
“Ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange was a celebration of our fans, our vision, and the bold journey that we are on,” said Venu CEO J.W. Roth. “With our strengthening balance sheet and the groundwork laid for rapid expansion, we’re redefining the future of live entertainment as we create extraordinary experiences for fans and investors alike. This is just the start of an even bigger adventure.
The company’s brands include restaurants like Bourbon Brothers Smokehouse and Tavern, Notes Eatery, Roth’s Seafood and Chophouse and live event venues like the Ford Amphitheater and Sunset Amphitheater.
