Crash involving pedestrian shuts down I-35E through Dallas early Wednesday morning

A crash involving a pedestrian closed I-35E in Dallas at 1 a.m., but lanes were re-opened by the morning rush hour.

DALLAS — A crash involving a pedestrian shut down southbound Interstate 35E in Dallas early Wednesday morning, officials said.

The highway was closed at Royal Lane around 1 a.m., according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. Lanes were later re-opened by the morning rush hour traffic.

It was the second major highway closure in Dallas overnight. Southbound U.S. 75 was shut down, also at Royal Lane, shortly before midnight. The 75 closure lasted longer than the I-35 closure, as all southbound 75 lanes were still shut down at 5 a.m.

More information on the I-35 crash has not been released by officials.
