Dallas police arrest 31-year-old man in connection with deadly shooting

 

According to Dallas County Jail records, the man was charged with capital murder by terror threat/other felony and his bond is set at $1 million.

DALLAS — Dallas police arrested Thomas Jefferson, 31, for his involvement in a deadly shooting in February, the department said. 

According to Dallas PD, on Feb. 28, officers responded to the 5300 block of Dimple Jackson Street to the report of a shooting. 

Upon arrival, police said officers found James Brown Jr., 40, had been shot. Brown was taken to the hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue, however, he was later pronounced dead. 

On Thursday, Dallas PD said Jefferson was arrested in the 2700 block of Jeffries Street by the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force on Wednesday for his connection to the case. 

According to Dallas County Jail records, Jefferson was charged with capital murder by terror threat/other felony and his bond was set at $1 million.
