Dallas police investigating murder of woman in Lower Greenville

 

Police found the woman dead in her home on Saturday afternoon.

DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department is investigating the murder of a woman who was found dead in her home on Saturday.

Police were called to do a welfare check at about 3:20 p.m. Saturday in the 6300 block of Llano Avenue. 

Upon arrival, police say Dallas Fire-Rescue forced entry into the home, where they found the victim unresponsive on the floor. Officials say she died at the scene.

On Sunday, the Dallas County Medical Examiner ruled the death as a homicide and police began investigating the case as a murder. 

The identity of the woman has not been released at this time pending notifying her family.
