Dallas police officer arrested on complaint of domestic violence, officials say

 

The officer was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation, according to the department.

DALLAS — A Dallas police officer was placed on leave after being arrested on a complaint of domestic violence, the Dallas Police Department confirmed Tuesday, 

Dallas police officer Armando Jaramillo was arrested by the Royce City Police Department on the domestic violence charge, officials say.

Rockwall County jail records show Jaramillo was booked into the Rockwall County Jail on a complaint of assault causing bodily injury to a family member on Nov. 4. 

The Dallas Police Department says Jaramillo has worked for the Dallas Police Department since March 2022 and is assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division. 

Jaramillo was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation, according to the department. 

No other information was immediately available.
