According to DPD, an officer in a marked squad car was responding to a call without his car’s lights or sirens on, traveling east on Elam Road.

DPD claims a woman was standing at the median near the intersection of Elam Road and Cedarcliff Drive. Police claim she “ran in front of two vehicles trying to turn left onto Cedarcliff Drive, and into the far-left lane where the officer was driving.”
