Dallas police seeking information on alleged sexual assault at the White Rock Lake Trail

 

A woman was running on the trail near the 4800 block of W. Lawther Drive May 30 when an unknown male suspect attacked her and sexually assaulted her, police say.

DALLAS — Dallas police are working to identify a man involved in an alleged sexual assault at the White Rock Lake Trail last week.

A woman was running on the trail near the 4800 block of W. Lawther Drive at about noon on May 30, when an unknown male suspect attacked her and sexually assaulted her, police say.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5-feet-5-inches tall, with red hair and a beard, according to police. He was last seen wearing a blue crew neck shirt and police say the suspect could possibly have scratches on his face and body.

Police are working to identify the suspect.

“Dallas Police ask residents near the reported offense to be on the lookout for any suspicious persons matching the suspect description, and to contact police to report any suspicious activity or persons,” a news release from Dallas police reads. “As always, Dallas Police encourage the public to practice good safety measures at all times. This includes always paying attention to your surroundings, going out with another person, letting a trusted friend or family member know where you will be, and stay in well-lit areas at night.”

Those with any information about the incident are asked to call 911.
