A car crashed into a pole and a DPD squad car was damaged overnight, officials said.
DALLAS — An overnight crash damaged a Dallas Police Department squad car, officials said.
The crash occurred around 2:50 a.m. Monday just south of Love Field at the intersection of Cedar Springs Road and Manor Way, Dallas police said in a press release. Dallas police were responding to a call when they were hit by another car, according to a Dallas police source.
One officer was transported to a hospital but was uninjured and later released, the source said.
The civilian vehicle that struck the officer also crashed into a pole nearby. Police conducted a field sobriety test on the driver who crashed into DPD officers, according to a police source, but it’s not clear if any arrests were made.
The incident is under investigation.
