DALLAS — Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin is officially a girl dad.
Seguin and his wife, Kate, announced the birth of their first child, a daughter named Wren Katherine, in an Instagram post Wednesday. The baby girl was born Jan. 16.
“Our family has grown by 10 little fingers and toes,” Kate wrote in the post announcing the baby’s birth. “Wren Katherine Seguin was born at 7 lb 1 oz on January 16 at 7:41 a.m. @tseguin92 and I are in utter bliss experiencing this new chapter with our baby girl.”
Kate posted a series of photos of her and Tyler with Wren, introducing her to their dogs Gerry, Cash and Marshall.
The news makes Seguin the latest Dallas professional athlete to join team girl dad, along with Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks.
The couple announced they were expecting in July. Tyler and Kate got married in July of 2023 in the Bahamas.
Tyler has been out since December when he underwent surgery to repair a left-side femoral acetabular impingement and the left-side hip labrum,
