‘Days of Our Lives’ actor Cody Longo found dead in Austin home, reports say

AUSTIN, Texas – ‘Days of Our Lives’ actor Cody Longo has died at the age of 34. Multiple news reports said he was found deceased in his Austin home.

According to a report from NBC News, he was found Wednesday morning. He’s survived by his wife, Stephanie, and their three children.

“He died in his sleep at his home in Austin, TX…,” Longo’s agent Alex Gittelson said in a statement to NBC News. “The cause is believed to have been alcohol-related.”

Gittelson said Longo was “a dear friend” and that they he had spent a few years pursuing music before returning as an actor. Longo is most known for his role as Nicholas Alamain in “Days of Our Lives.”

“Cody was such a loyal, loving and talented person and he will be greatly missed,” he told NBC.

Longo has also starred in MTV’s “Hollywood Heights,” “Nashville,” and more. Gittelson said Longo was also a singer, songwriter, and music producer.
