Dead body recovered from Lewisville Lake, police say

LITTLE ELM, Texas — The Little Elm Police Department says crews recovered a body from Lake Lewisville on Saturday, July 20. 

According to police, the department was alerted that there was a body in a remote part of the lake. Police say crews were able to recover the body around 3 p.m. 

According to police, the Denton County Medical Examiner will assist with the investigation and the body is being taken to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner for identification.
