ZAVALA COUNTY, Texas – Several people died after a major vehicle accident due to icy road conditions, according to the Uvalde County Constable’s Precinct 6 Office.
The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday on a bridge along U.S. Highway 57.

Officials said U.S. Highway 57 between La Pryor and Batesville was closed for hours after the accident.
First responders encountered slippery roads while responding to the scene.
The constable’s office stated that the accident scene was cleared around 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday.
