Deputies with Constable Jerry Garcia’s Special Operations Unit and the U.S. Marshals Violent Offenders Task Force executed several felony arrest warrants for 32-year-old Robert Trevino for violation of a protective order and burglary of habitation with intent to commit assault. These warrants were filed after Trevino forced himself inside the home of his ex-girlfriend and assaulted her, according to a press release from the department.
Further investigation revealed that the ex-girlfriend had an active protective order against Trevino during the incident. Deputies and U.S. Marshals located Trevino inside an apartment complex in Texas City, where he was taken into custody without incident.
“This investigation was a great collaboration between Constable Garcia’s Pct. 2 District Patrol Deputies, the Pct. 2 Special Operations Unit, and the U.S. Marshals Violent Offenders Task Force,” stated the source.
