DeSantis Campaign Rips Kamala for Radical, Racist Remark About Hurricane Relief

Democrats seem to have a deep and abiding problem with race.

As we reported earlier, you had House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) saying the racist quiet part out loud about why they want to allow illegal aliens to pour across the border — because they regard them necessary to “pick the crops.” Then, there was Joe Biden trying to pander to a Hispanic group and making warped remarks about Hispanics. I suppose that shouldn’t be surprising given his wife comparing Hispanics to “breakfast tacos.”

But on Friday, a video clip of Kamala Harris went viral, talking about hurricane response, where she spoke about delivering resources based on race.

She went on about “giving resources based on equity,” saying that we fight for equality but we also need to fight for equity and not everyone starts at the same place but that if we “want people to be in an equal place,” sometimes we have to take into account those disparities.

Wow. How many ways is that racist and wrong? No, you can’t deliver resources based on race, that’s illegal. Does she think hurricanes discriminate as she does? Hurricanes hit people of all races and hurricane resources should be distributed based on need, not race. Equality vs. Equity is leftist gobbledegook. What America guarantees (or at least did until Biden came in), was equality under the law. You cannot guarantee equality of result and any attempt to try only guarantees that everyone will become poor in the process.

This isn’t the first time that she’s pitched this “equity” stuff. Indeed, this is what she said in August.

So equity, as a concept, says: Recognize that everyone has the same capacity, but in order for them to have equal opportunity to reach that capacity, we must pay attention to this issue of equity if we are to expect and allow people to compete on equal footing. (Applause.)

Again, no. Everyone should have equality of opportunity, but everyone does not have “the same capacity.” That doesn’t even make any sense. I don’t have the same capacity in math as my brother, who taught math. He doesn’t have the same ability as I do in writing. If you’re hiring someone to teach math, he would be your guy, not me. And you could give me all kinds of help, but that would still be true. “Same capacity” sounds like Communist nonsense where everyone is regarded as the same automaton.

But while I note that math is not my thing, I think I know far more about math than does Kamala Harris from her amazement with Venn diagrams.

The video that suggested giving resources based on race got blasted by everyone on Twitter. But perhaps the best response was from the DeSantis Warroom account that made it clear that despite what Kamala Harris was trying to push, Florida and FEMA would be ensuring that everyone got the resources they needed for hurricane relief, regardless of race.

That’s what we’re about. That’s who we are, not whatever radical thoughts that Kamala Harris is trying to impose on us all.
