Rain and relief?

Thursday could be the hottest day of the week and of the year so far. Some relief arrives Friday and over the weekend. A weak front will bring more clouds and a few pop up showers or thunderstorms. The threat for severe weather is low and rain coverage will be low.

A couple of rounds of storms will be possible over the weekend. This will likely be along our Red River counties and western counties as decaying storms move in from Oklahoma. Most of North Texas stays dry over the weekend.

Highs will likely drop out of the 100s. It will still be hot, but likely not as hot as the middle part of the week. Triple digit heat returns next week.
