AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 17-year-old who was on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive list in connection with a murder at a Sonic Drive-In in San Antonio was arrested last week in Dallas, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in a news release.
DPS said a Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of Adiah Roberson. She was arrested at an apartment complex located in southeast Dallas on Oct. 22, the release said. DPS said a reward will be paid to the tipster.
The San Antonio Police Department previously said Roberson may have been in Austin.
On July 7, around 9:40 p.m., the San Antonio Police Department responded to the Sonic Drive-In, 5510 Babcock Road, in San Antonio for a report of a shooting. According to SAPD, police and EMS found the victim, who was identified as Daniel Lacy Shrewsbury. He was the manager of Sonic-Drive In at this location.
Shrewsbury was shot in the chest and died on the scene, according to SAPD.
Roberson was a customer at the drive-in restaurant and allegedly shot Shrewsbury after creating “a disturbance over counterfeit money she had passed and stealing money,” according to a news release from SAPD.
