According to officials, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
DALLAS — One person is dead after crashing into a tree Christmas morning in Dallas, officials said.
According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, units responded to 1722 S. Beckley Avenue at about 11:24 a.m. after reports came in about a car crashing into a tree in the front yard of a home.
Fire-Rescue said a heavy rescue response was sent to the scene for the driver who they assumed was pinned, however, that was not the case and the heavy response was disregarded.
According to DFR, the driver of the car sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the driver has not been released at this time.
