TRINITY COUNTY, Texas — An East Texas law enforcement agency is mourning the loss of one of their own.
According to Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace, Dep. Justin Fester was killed in a crash while in New Mexico on Saturday morning.
“Deputy Fester served as an active full-time deputy prior to switching his status to a reserve deputy for both Trinity County Sheriff’s Office and Walker County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office,” Sheriff Wallace said. “For the last 12 plus years, Deputy Fester served his community and the citizens of both counties and will truly be missed by all who knew him and worked alongside him.
Sheriff Wallace asked community members keep Fester’s family and loved ones in their prayers.
