NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas — A fundraiser has been planned to help out the family of an East Texas teen who lost part of her arm in a recent ATV accident.

According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office, AJ Green suffered severe injuries to her left arm in an ATV crash that occurred on Tuesday, Aug. 6, in the 1900 block of CR 414.

The NCSO says Green was flown to a hospital for treatment, but despite doctors’ best efforts, she lost part of her arm. While recovering from her injuries, she must continue to travel to Shreveport for treatment.

“As a community, we want to support her and her family,” said Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges, who is personally sponsoring the fundraiser. “I know she’ll have a long, happy life ahead of her, and we’re going to help make sure that happens.”

Chopped beef sandwich plates will be prepared, served and sold by NCSO staff on Friday, Sept. 6, from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Nacogdoches County Exposition & Civic Center. Plates will be $12, and include a sandwich, chips, drink and dessert. Orders of 10 or more plates can be delivered.

All of the proceeds from the event will go to the family to help cover current and future medical costs.

You can pre-order a plate by emailing sknight@nac-sheriff.com or kwilliams@nac-sheriff.com.
