Voters will get three new members of the Dallas Central Appraisal District board of directors.
DALLAS — For the first time, voters in Dallas County had the opportunity to elect members of the Dallas Central Appraisal District board of directors. The Dallas Central Appraisal District board is tasked with helping to oversee the organization responsible for property tax appraisal in the county.
Last year, voters in Texas approved a measure to allow three of the nine appraisal district board members in the state’s 50 largest counties to be elected rather than appointed. Tarrant and Dallas County were among those with appraisal district board members on the ballot.
In place 1, P. Wylie Burge won with 56% of the vote to Ekambar Kumar Singirikonda’s 26%.
