Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk is reportedly planning to construct a Texas compound for his many children and some of their mothers.

Musk, who’s believed to have at least 11 kids, hopes to develop adjoining properties in Austin where some of those children and at least two of their mothers would live, according to the New York Times. By doing so, he’d be able to spend more time with his extended his family and his kids would grow up together.

The Tesla and SpaceX owner’s Texas estates being considered for the project are reportedly worth $35 million. Musk has another mansion in Austin that’s a short walk from where his family’s homes would be, according to the Times.

Musk frequently preaches the importance of human procreation on his social media platform, X.

“Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis,” he posted in 2022. “A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.”

His first child was born in 2002 and died 10 weeks later. That baby’s mother is Musk’s first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, with whom he has five other children. One of them, a trans woman, is estranged from her highly conservative MAGA dad.

He also has three children with Canadian singer Grimes. According to Business Insider, Musk also fathered three children with the director of operations for one of his companies. The most recent birth of a Musk baby was reported in June.

Musk was raised in South Africa with a brother and a sister. He also has four younger half-siblings via his father, with whom he’d had a strained relationship, according to People.

The 53-year-old entrepreneur is believed to be worth $270 billion. In recent months he’s dedicated a considerable amount of time and wealth helping Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump win next week’s election. According to Forbes, those efforts have cost Musk nearly $120 million.

He hasn’t addressed reports about his Texas family compound.
