TATUM, Texas — Volunteer fire departments from Tatum and Church Hill rushed to Tatum’s Martin Creek Power Plant Saturday evening in response to a reported explosion at the site.
Reports from the Rusk County Office of Emergency Management and Rusk County Fire Marshal, Patrick Dooley state that an on-site pre boiler exploded leaving two workers with minor injuries and one sent to a nearby hospital. Those injuries were non-life threatening.
