Fatal crash temporarily closes High Five interchange

 

The road has since reopened. The victim, a motorcyclist, died at the scene.

DALLAS — A motorcyclist died at Interstate 635 and North Central Expressway Monday night, prompting officials to close the highway overnight. 

The Dallas Police Department (DPD) responded to an accident call at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 20. Officers found a male motorcyclist traveling south on the Central Expressway on the exit ramp to I-635 changed lanes and crashed into a sweeper truck, police said. 

The motorcyclist died on the scene, police said. DPD did not immediately release the name of the victim. Officers are investigating the incident.
