Fatal nightclub shooting kills 1 person in Fort Worth

 

A fatal shooting just north of the Stockyards killed one man early Sunday morning.

FORT WORTH, Texas — One man died after a confrontation inside a nightclub in north Fort Worth Sunday morning.

Fort Worth Police officers responded to a shooting near 3202 N Main Street early around 5:45 a.m. Sunday morning. An adult male gunshot victim was found with and transported to an area hospital. He later died of his injuries. Police did not immediately release any additional information about the victim.  

A verbal and physical altercation inside of the business lead up to the shooting, detectives found. Outside the nightclub, one unidentified suspect shot the victim at least once, police said. The suspect or suspects left the scene. 

Homicide detectives are investigating, police confirmed.
