A Gulf low pressure system moving through Deep South Texas has brought a welcome weather pattern change. Some folks got at least a little rain Sunday around the Alamo City, totaling 0.10″ to 0.50″. It wasn’t much, but we’ll take whatever we can get in this exceptional drought.
As the low continues to move across South Texas Monday, we’ll have another opportunity for at least *some* rain Monday.
Here’s what you need to know:
SAN ANTONIO’S FORECAST – Tropical bands of rain will be flung toward San Antonio early in the morning tomorrow, potentially making the morning commute messy in spots – especially west of 281. The overall chance for rain is 40%. Plan to give yourself a little extra time in the morning to get those kids back to school and make it to work on time – just in case. After lunch, only *isolated* rain will be possible in San Antonio. It’ll be a mostly cloudy, breezy day with winds gusting from the southeast at 25 mph. The high in San Antonio should only be in the low-90s.HEAVIER RAINS SOUTHWEST – Those across southern Val Verde, Southern Kinney, Southern Uvalde, Maverick, Zavala, Frio, La Salle, and Dimmit Counties will experience *widespread* rain tomorrow – great for the ranchers and farmers!
